Growing Winchelsea Inc. aims to be a highly effective advocacy and leadership group, facilitating and promoting business and community development throughout the Winchelsea Ward of the Surf Coast Shire.We also seek to identify community priorities and opportunities and address issues which affect our community, providing Winchelsea with a united voice.The group comprises volunteer community leaders who offer their time and expertise to assist and promote community groups and their projects.

Winchelsea and District Tourism and Traders Association Inc. (the Business and Tourism Association) was incorporated in 1995 and  provided leadership to the business and tourism sectors of Winchelsea for almost 20 years. Working With Winchelsea (WWW) was an unincorporated association formed in 2012 by a group of interested residents and organisations to further the social and economic interests of Winchelsea. In 2014, the Business and Tourism Association and WWW decided to amalgamate to establish a single, strong leadership committee for Winchelsea. The rules of association of the Business and Tourism Association have been amended to include a broader organisational purpose, the Association has been renamed “Growing Winchelsea Incorporated” and its membership base has been broadened to enable all members of WWW to participate.

The purposes of Growing Winchelsea are stated in its rules of association, as follows:

  1. to develop and promote tourism, business, and community development activities in Winchelsea and District;
