Carols by the Barwon will return to the picturesque banks of the Barwon River on Saturday 6 December 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Becoming an annual tradition the Carols brings the community together for a magical evening of Christmas music, family fun, and festive spirit.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Lions Park, the event will feature community choirs, talented local performers, and a joyful mix of traditional and modern carols for all ages to enjoy. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic rug, settle in under the summer sky, and sing along to the sounds of the season. Another exciting development is the Twilight Christmas Market which will be held the same day from 4 - 8 pm providing a great opportunity to shop and mingle while the kids search the stalls for hidden elves.
Carols by the Barwon is part of the wider Christmas in Winchelsea – A Season to Sparkle celebration — a town-wide program that transforms Winchelsea into a vibrant Christmas destination. Throughout the season, visitors can enjoy the whimsical Elf Trail, marvel at the Lions Christmas Lights Competition, and be part of decorating timber trees, generously Made by the Men's Shed in readiness for a stroll beneath the glow of Twinkle Trees on Main later in December 2025.
