Christmas is just around the corner and what better way to herald its arrival than for the community to come together in song and celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Bring a chair or a blanket and join the festivities on Saturday 7 December 2004 stating at 6.00 pm on the Winchelsea Primary School’s oval. There will be food and drinks available and the Lions Club of Winchelsea will have a sausage sizzle as well. If the weather turns bad the event will move to the Leisure Centre.
Bring along a gold coin to support the fundraising efforts of the school.
A special thanks to Grace Morris our talented artist and her interpretation on the poster of what the Christmas Carols event means to her.
“This year there is a strong focus on engaging the children with fun activities,” said John Tebbutt, President of Growing Winchelsea. “Thanks to a grant from the Community Bank Winchelsea and District local entertainer Nic Dacomb of Krazy Koala Entertainment & The BeBop Circus will be performing. He will engage and entertain the children with his hilarious puppet show with catchy songs that everyone can dance to,” continues John.
For more than a decade, the Krazy Koala Puppet show has performed to a range of audiences from all over Australia and the world. There is lots more entertainment planned with Rob Davies hosting the evening and leading the Carols.
“Santa will be there as well, who knows he may have a surprise for the kids. So come along with the family, and enjoy the night of celebration and joy,” concludes John.
