Welcome to Growing Winchelsea’s photo competition. A competition designed to showcase Winchelsea’s 6 “P’s” and get our local community involved with bringing to light all the wonderful things that Winchelsea has to offer.
So what are the 6 “P’s” and how do I capture them? Great question!
The 6 “P’s” of Winchelsea are;

Here are some examples of how you could capture our 6 “P’s”;
👨👩👧👦People.
Don’t be afraid of getting creative, but you can also keep it simple by entering a photo of someone who resides in Winchelsea. You could even capture a generation of people. Young, old, public figure, someone who inspires you, or even a self portrait. We would love to see it all! Our only requirement is that the image is taken of people connected to Winchelsea and that you’ve got permission to share on social media/marketing etc.
🗺Places.
One of the wonderful things about Winchelsea is our radius to so many fantastic places, but our town has many wonderful places to! If your image represents Winchelsea or 3241 post code you can enter.
🌏Planet.
Stars, moon, sunrise, sunset, nature, plants, insects… The World is your oyster! Image must be taken with 3241 post code.
🏉Participation.
Sporting groups, volunteer groups, CFA, SES, are all great examples of Participation. Our requirement is that the image is capture in Winchelsea or is of a group from Winchelsea showing Participation in another area.
🏘Prosperity.
Not as tricky as it sounds. We’re talking about “growth”. New housing developments, construction, renovations, new businesses, old businesses even TREES! Image is required to be captured within Winchelsea.
🐶Pets.
Has anyone else noticed the increase in furry friends around Winchelsea? We sure have and absolutely LOVE seeing photos of peoples beloved pets. Maybe you have a unique pet? Maybe a cow or a sheep? You may even have LOTS of cows or LOTS of sheep. We’d love to see images of animals who live in Winchelsea or the surrounding farmland of Winchelsea.
So what’s in it for you? Glad you asked!
- A $500 cash prize is up for the overall winner of our competition.
- $200 cash prize for peoples choice award.
- $125 first place juniors awards plus $75 & $50 for 2nd and 3rd place plus x5 $20 prizes. (Junior competition is open to 17yrs and under)
- There will also be monthly vouchers to the value of $100 for a buisness in Winchelsea of your choice! Prizes will be awarded on the 15th of each month until November.
There will be an exhibition held at the Shire Hall in November to showcase finalists of our competition, winners will be announced on Sunday the 27th of November. All images have the opportunity to be shared on Growing Winchelsea’s social networks, advertising and website.

- Or follow the QR code in the poster/image
When you enter, tell us which “P” your image represents and why and where your image was taken. You may enter as many images as you like.
This competition will run over the course of 6months, all entrants pass on the rights for Growing winchelsea to share the image across their networks, social media and website.
