Growing Winchelsea Inc. invites individuals or organisations to put forward an Expression of Interest for Coordination of Christmas in Winchelsea 2025 — a vibrant, community-wide celebration bringing festive spirit to our town this December.
About Christmas in Winchelsea
Running from 6–21 December 2025, this annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities, local business participation, and community competitions, including:
- Carols by the Barwon (6 Dec): An evening of live music, food vans, and community carols along the Barwon River.
- Christmas Market (7 Dec): A family market with Santa, food, festive stalls, and the popular “Hidden Elf” fun.
- Winchelsea Elf Trail (8–21 Dec): Local businesses host hidden elves offering festive activities and promotions.
- Twinkle Trees Competition: Families decorate timber trees for installation along Main Street, judged for creativity and community spirit.
- Christmas Lights Competition: A Lions Club initiative lighting up Winchelsea homes and streets.
- Prize Draws & Family BBQ (21 Dec): Celebration and announcement of competition winners.
The event is promoted through the Winchelsea Star Christmas Feature and supported by local groups including the Lions Club, Men’s Shed, Winchelsea Star, Community Bank Winchelsea & District, and the Surf Coast Shire.
About the Role
The Coordinator / Organisation will oversee planning, logistics, sponsorship support, and community liaison to ensure a smooth and successful delivery of the program. Planning is already well advanced.
