Firstly, a huge thank you to each of you for being part of the Winchelsea Community Market. The market wouldn’t exist without the time, creativity and commitment of our stallholders and volunteers – your contribution truly shapes the heart of our community.
Over the coming months, the market will be trialling a number of exciting initiatives to support increased business for you and encourage increased community connection and visitation, including:
• A calendar of entertainment to enhance market days - noting important annual events
• More regular communication and updates for stallholders
• Improved promotion of the market through dedicated Community Market Facebook and Instagram posts & stronger links
• Stronger collaboration with groups such as the Otway Harvest Trail and adding to events such as the Surf Coast Arts Trail and Riverlee Artists Collective Exhibition
• Trialling a new venue and layout, during November holiday weekend to maximise visitor experience
• Introduce annual/allocated budgets to build sustainability & offer unique experiences
• Update our terms and conditions to support stallholders and proposed changes
We’d love your feedback
Whether you’re a current stallholder or have traded with us before, we’re keen to hear what works well and what could be improved. Your ideas will help guide these changes and shape the future of the market. We will shortly be surveying stallholders and the community to gather valuable feedback to improve the market experience for everyone.
Insurance & contact details reminder
To ensure we’re up to date:
• Please provide a current Certificate of Currency for Public Liability Insurance, ($10,000,000)
• We’re also asking stallholders to update their contact details
Both can be done easily via the stallholder application form with Terms & Conditions, where you can upload insurance documents and update your details in one place.
